I hate to say you guys were right
July 10, 2007 by Seasons
Four months later and this relationship is over. I hate to say you guys were right and the age difference was always going to be a problem.
A difference of opinion, poor judgment that can only be attributed to her age…. I realized that we don’t have the same values. I had to call it off and am now worried about this whole dating thing.
Totally unrelated; What is it with women and the need for Public Display of Affection ( PDA)??? Watch out for a long post
Don’t regret it, I bet you had great memorable moments while it lasted.I think its better to try and fail than not to try then complain.
As I told you, its all about doing what you feel like/ following our hearts. We learn from exprience.
Thanks Misc,
I cannot help and regret and feel that I wasted time. But you are right..I did enjoy it while it lasted as there were positives than I will miss.
The good thing with such experiences is that they are all lessons in disguise, hence no reason to regret. If we don’t learn from this one, another one pops up to teach us the same lessons. Think on what your lesson could be and move with that, no purpose in being afraid.
Remember to always reason with the head and the heart. Both are equally important.
Hi Lioness,
I was actually cringing expecting an..’oh we told you so’.. kind of comments but the advise is great.
This was a lesson for me and although this did not affect me the way my marriage did, I still wonder whether I am attracted to the wrong people.
Thanks for visiting
I simply admire people who go for things because it feels right whether it works out postive or negative - you tried. Like lioness said it is a lesson and what is life without a few of those…
I have just read through your entire blog( Yap I read quickly) and it is great.
On this post, don’t fret that the relationship did not work out. Even those of couples closer in age do not always work out.
Wish you luck with the next one
@ Wairi,
You are right. I don’t regret trying and failure does not deter me. On a positive side, at least now am going out more and may meet someone soon.
Don’t allow this experience to hinder you from re-entering the dating world!!
@ Princess,
I am now traveling quite a bit but when I get a chance to be in Nairobi, I am going out a bit more. Hopefully I will meet someone apt
Sh** happens. It’s nothing to do with age.
This should not stop you from dating younger women. Do not limit your circle.
PDA is great, ofcourse as long as it is not OTT.
Vanilla,
Whats OTT?
@Gay Nairobi Man
OTT - over the top
You Ok? I thoroughly enjoy your blog. I have read all your entries
I was trying to find ways of commenting here. finally!
Sorry it didnt work out. No one should say ‘I told you so’ life after all is a big school. Out of this experience you have learnt a lesson.
All the best!
@Vanilla,
Thanks for that clarification. I am great and have been keeping well. Thanks for the visits to my blog
Interesting communicating on someone else’s blog. I hope S&R does not mind.
@Vanilla,
Thanks for the advise and you are right;- shit does happen. I intend to throw myself into the dating scene and see what happens.
@Farmgal,
I will chalk up this to experience.
@ GNM
I don’t mind you using my blog to reply to Vanilla
Sorry I resurrected this old thread, I wanted to read something older in your blog so I chose July my birthday month.
I did throw myself in the dating scene..and seeing my current predicament..am not so sure it was a great idea.
