HongKong: What a weekend!
March 31, 2008 by Seasons
I will not post about the rugby tournament as I am sure others have already done that. All I can say is that the HK night scene(Especially Wan Chai) will remember this touring party for a long time. Also whoever manufactures tequila needs to go on holiday if the amount imbibed this weekend is anything to go by- he has met his profits target for the year!
The Grand Hyatt took our money for nothing- we hardly slept! Those interested can see me kando on the shenanigans of the Kenyan contingent and other shenanigans surrounding the traveling party. I need to warn you though that in rugby we have a creed ‘whatever is done on tour, remains on tour‘. The black box is lost!
As the squad leaves for Adelaide, I have to fly home tomorrow via Bangkok to get home on Wednesday. In the meantime, I have business to attend to and will visit Joseph this evening. Those following his story will be glad to know that he has gone back to work after his transplant in India.
I am not looking forward to getting back to work- the break was too short.
Sounds like you had loads of fun tequila withstanding. Back home we followed the progress of the boys with a lot of pride and hope they can go one more stage up in Australia.
By the way best wishes to Joseph!
I submit my extra 411 right here…errrr can you bring the same traveling party to twickenham and Edinburgh. glad about Joseph!
411 kando ama?
Farmgal, believe me you don’t want this crowd near you. If they do come, prepare yourself for the hangover weeks after the tournament is over

It was off the chain! Wan Chai is the place to be for the best night life in the world… kwani whats your name? But you are right, these Chinese names are funny
