oooh wow. must have tugged at your heartstrings like nothing else.
How sweet. And how wonderful that she’s a young woman who can articulately express what she wants and why! You must be proud that you have taught her that!

As for balance, I imagine its the lifelong wrestling match for all parents that must leave the home and work.

There doesn’t seem to be easy answers for that one but 2TOC is onto something: asking Jazz herself what more time would look like. Perhaps a few changes in your schedule would make a world of difference to the girls. Best of luck!

about Jhon Wagner, i can not beleave any of this B.S. I have known Jhon as a very kind and respect full human.
but if you have money in Kenya you are a target all the time, to be robbert, killed or set-up for a con as this.
please people get real and let this good man do his work.
do we realize how many families he feeds in Kenya and we have never heard 1 complain?

Its good to see your kids appreciating you and your time.

In this day and age especially here, kids lack respect for their parents and elders. Then the parents start blaming the schools and when the schools act they become all defensive of their brats.

Keep making those steps…..they will thank you when the time comes.

p.s. I hope umeniona kando. Now you know why I am silent kidogo!!!

You are wise to have the desire to rearrange your priorities. I struggle with this constantly. Put God first and he will help you in everything, including having time for your kids. I’ll be praying for you!

Good step, just drive on,and don’t turn there! I feel that your child loves u a lot and wants to stay with you more, but that does not mean that you have failed somewhere,no!
Don’t feel guilty ama you will run mad for no reason, Season!I know how paroz love kids, but I can still tell how kids can ask for more and more.

What was that quote about truth from the mouth of babes? Wow.

I’ve never felt like I spend enough time with my child. How can you ever? They’re so wonderful and they grow up so fast in many ways. You feel like you blinked and missed it all. I just hope that mine come away feeling loved - whatever the circumstances.

Like CB said, your children will often guide you on taking the smaller steps. That’s all you can do, really.

I do not have kids so I may not know what it feels like but I keep getting similar calls from Dad, Mum, Kid sister and bro… I have not been home for over a year, with the guilt, I tend to send over gifts every now and then but the presence is what they want… feels really bad. Similar events happen to the one other most important person in my life… We live about a kilometre apart butgetting time to see each other even once in a week is such an issue and boy, does she make a fuss or what!!! I guess am too buzy like most of us chasing some career and studies stuff… It is really hard to balance, but whatever little time you get, It means a lot…
That must be such a sweet daughter…Cant wait to have mine!

I know just what you mean. The little ones need us more than we give. Our tactic has been to capitalize on meal times, when everyone is present and we spend much time on the table. Then we make a big fuss to celebrate small things, like a good report from school, taking out a tooth, or growing a new one, birthdays etc. And even with all these, it is still not enough…
